Hard to believe that we are 6 months into 2016!! Seriously??! And with June rolling around once again, and the sun finally decides to make an appearance (about Bloomin’ Time) it can only mean one thing – time again for the mac daddy of garden festivals – Bloom in the Park.

bloom_overview

Bloom in the Park is Ireland’s largest gardening, food and family event that has been taking place in Phoenix Park and celebrating its 10th anniversary this year is taking place this June bank holiday weekend, from 2nd June until the 6th of June.

Bloom in the Park, sponsored by Bord Bia, will showcase over 23 superb garden displays, featuring the very best of Ireland’s landscapers and designers, as well as a Floral and Nursery Marquee, a Floral Art Stage and much much more.

Visitors hoping to attend this years show will be delighted to hear that the Food Village makes a welcome return, where the many aspects of the Irish food and drinks industry are represented in one central area.

Of course, Bloom in the Park is very much a family affiar, and the event has again a host of activities and events to suit families of all shapes and sizes including presentations from Children’s Books Ireland,  magic shows and ‘Food Dudes’ – featuring interactive activities encouraging children to get their 5-a-day.

As with previous years’ Down2Earth Materials is again on-hand to be the supplier of compostable packaging for the event. Once again, we are thrilled to be apart of such a highly regarded and all-round awesome event. As all of our products are certified compostable, they will break down into soil within 9-12 weeks under the correct temperature. This soil helps to grow new plants that our products are made from and enables Bloom to exhibit such fantastic expositions year after year!

We are blooming excited about this one, who knows what could crop up! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BLOOM, and we’ll see yawl there!
