It’s hard to believe that Taste of Dublin Food Festival is 10 years old! On looking at the lineup and event listings for the event’s tenth birthday, it seems that organisers of the event are celebrating this landmark year in style!

Taste of Dublin, returning to the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin City Centre on June 11-14 2015, will feature 10 international and local Michelin Stars Superstars including Derry Clarke, Oliver Dunne, Ross Lewis, Richard Corrigan, Kevin Thornton and Michel Roux Jr. These world-class chefs will be showcasing their culinary skills, giving away a few secrets as well as offering event-goers the opportunity to get up close and personal with interactive cooking demonstrations to help hone home cooking skills.

Of course that’s not all – that’s merely an aperitif to whet the appetite of hungry Taste of Dublin attendees. Other event attractions and highlights on the menu for this year are:

  • Taste of Thailand – highlighting taste of authentic Thai cuisine, culture and music
  • Lillie’s Lab -Ireland’s first nightclub micro-distillery
  • Family fun zones
  • VIP Suites
  • Samples of amazing food & drink from Ireland’s best restaurants
  • Style prizes and live entertainment in the Iveagh Gardens

Down2Earth Materials

At Down2Earth Materials we are thrilled to be a part of this year’s event by supplying a large range of certified compostable foodservice packaging for the event. As you can imagine, an event such as this means ALOT of waste generated. But the event organiser’s decision to utilize our packaging means that a large portion of this waste can be turned into a resource: Soil for spreading across Irish lands. Unbeknownst to the event goers who will be sampling the amazing cuisine on offer with Down2Earth Materials packaging, they will not only be sampling Irish food but also helping to grow Irish food in the future, as the certified compostable packaging supplied to the event will be composted into soil within 3 months of the event’s conclusion.
